Shabbat. A Day to Create Yourself - Chief Rabbi Goldstein Introduction
Shabbat. A Day to Create Yourself.
Chief Rabbi Goldstein www.youtube.com/@chiefrabbigoldstein
I am honoured to let you know about my new book: Shabbat. A Day to Create Yourself. Building character, shaping perspective and finding happiness through Shabbat.
Published as a not-for-profit initiative, all book proceeds will go towards the Shabbat Project.
Writing this book has been an eye-opening personal journey for me. I am looking forward to sharing with you the secrets I have discovered along the way.
In this journey of writing the book, I delved into our sources and found myself looking at Shabbat with new eyes, and that has been transformative for me and my family.
In this book you will learn how Shabbat isn’t just a day of rest but A Day to Create Yourself. You will discover how Shabbat can unleash personal and societal renewal, and how it offers us a recipe for happiness in an increasingly complex world.
Shabbat gives us the tools to create the best version of ourselves and our world, reminding us that our most important accomplishments in life cannot be touched or measured or priced.
Building character, shaping perspectives and finding happiness, Shabbat gives us the Divine gift of self-creation.
This gift is not in the sky. It’s right here.

Can you please explain the Messiah & about Jesus from the Jewish perspective? Formerly Christian, now feeling I need to stick to the Old Testament & what it says about God. Also have no idea which Jewish bible to get; would like one that has both English & Hebrew. Confused! Help please lol Shalom 😊

We don’t really recognize a Jesus. We know of multiple people who fit the bill from that time. It is likely he was an Esseyan, which was a big deal at that time and if you research them it will make a bunch of sense. Jesus really represents and old argument going on to this day which broken down into its basic question is about form or function. Some of us say it’s all form, just do what it says to do, and the function people say there has to be heart in it or it doesn’t work. You can somewhat see these delineations in the color of Kippah, though not always. Judaism, Torah judaism has nothing to say about Messiach. That isn’t Torah at all and really a distraction from the real work that need done, but some Jews do believe in Messiach. They consider David to be the first.

It doesn’t matter the language the Torah is. Of course the Hebrew is the holy tongue and I think reading it in Hebrew has more in it, but that goes along with just how Hebrew works. Rabbi Taub is from the Chabad sect. They have a really great Chumash, with even Aramaic in it, and loads of good stuff.

@@roberth.retallickr.n.8069 Thank you! You gave me lots of new words to look up lol Couldn't find anything via good regarding the word Esseyan, just a few name meanings but I am not sure that they were what you're referring to.

@@roberth.retallickr.n.8069 I have been enjoying learning a bit of Hebrew lately so I wanted to have a Bible that had both English and Hebrew to I compare the words. Back in the 80s I took a lot of languages in school but lost some of the knowledge as I have not used them. That did not stop my love for learning new languages though! What is a Chumash?

This rule is identical to what has been said that the world is the attachment of the Jews, and they have the right to rule over it. Stealing from foreigners is not stealing from them, but retrieving their money. If the Talmudic rabbi says do not steal, the purpose of this is not to steal from the Jew. As for the foreigner, he was robbed of a prize because they believe that his money is permissible, and the Jew has the right to lay hands on it. It is stated in the book (Jewish Russia-p.119): (the Jewish rulers sell to individuals the right to rob certain people's money from Christians. After the sale takes place, the buyer, without any other Jews, has the right to work out the necessary ways to get his hands on the money of that Christian. The money of that Christian that was permissible becomes the property of that buyer from the time of the contract of sale.

Such a Gemtleman, such study, being able to remember so much is amazing. Jonathan is a man that I just can't help loving. I think Hesham loves him dearly and I am sure he has a position of profound trust and will be kept close to his throne. There are always questions and hypotheses in our learned brains as free will stretches to evidence and the word logic does not run along that divine plane written down by Moses believing in the instance of creation in Eden. There is a fear of believing in the logic of creation that dismantles the Talmud and is never taken into view by those who have stopped searching and running their lives with 613 laws laid down that are thought to please Hashem. What pleases Hashem is the truth, not taking away that which a real profit has passed on influenced by Hashem for our future benefit as Isaiah 53. We do not get it right all the time, and that is why we must pray together in sincerity and belief. Darwin in his five years on the Beagle found evidence of a prehistoric age along with evidence to suggest that we are still on a journey of evolution. That leaves us thinking about what we believe or not? I can tell you but not in such a small space but simplified so all will understand.

2 Minu Isa majas on palju eluasemeid. Pauluse esimene kiri Timoteosele 3:16 Tunnistatavalt suur on jumalakartuse saladus: Jumal on avalikuks saanud lihas, õigeks tunnistatud vaimus, nähtav olnud inglitele, kuulutatud paganatele, usutud maailmas, võetud üles kirkusesse.
